During November and December, 2006, our daughter-in-law became involved with "Right to Play" and she and Brian traveled to the Toronto area to attend a Skating with Celebrities fund raising event. When they got back to Red Deer Elizabeth started raising money for the cause and soon recruited her nieces, Karley and Kelsey. The result! They ended up raising the most individual amount of anyone else in Canada! Almost $5,000 in less than 2 months; just before Christmas! WOW, WHAT AN ACCOMPLISHMENT!
For more information about "Right to Play" visit the web site and read about Liz, Karley and Kelsey. Liz is now working on having their story published in the Red Deer Advocate and they had their picture done in anticipation of that publication.
Also, if you navigate around the Right to Play Canada web page you'll see the link to the Spirit of Hockey calendar that was developed by Brian and Elizabeth. They are donating a portion of the sales of this calendar to Right Play. A postscript to the launch of the calendar is that they sent a couple of them to Ron McLean (whom they know from growing up in Red Deer) and Don Cherry. They've since received a neat little personal e-mail message from Cherry telling them how much he enjoyed getting the calendar. If you'd like to see more of Brian & Elizabeth's work go to their website.

Paradise Days
While we're having our first sunny day in what seems like a very long time I thought we'd return to Maui for a brief moment. These photos depict an average day there! Boogie boarding in the morning and romance in the evening! The pics were scanned but you get the idea.
