We travelled back to Red Deer for Thanksgiving and were there for Karley and Kelsey's riding lessons. I took the opportunity to ride Karen's horse, Rocky. The facial expressions (not on the horse) pretty much tell the story. It has been a long time since I was up this high on anything, let alone a horse that actually moves. He's a beautiful animal and after some brisk trotting I was able to get him into a canter! Karley and Kelsey also now have their own horse. Her name is Bailey and she's a great little horse for them. Both girls are now taking jumps at least 2 1/2 feet. Their goal is to compete at Spruce Meadows!

The horses look like fun, but easy does it "old timer"... wouldn't want you to break a hip... just kiddin'! It appears riding a horse is just like a bike... one never forgets!!!
