Lund 7,7,07

Today we picked up Marv & Kathy for an afternoon drive to Lund. One of our favourite places where the Pacific Coast Highway ends; or begins. Something is always happening here and photo opportunities abound, especially when the tide is low. Today was no different. Kathy pointed out the uniqueness of the little building at the top of the boat launch ramp that appears to be sitting on the mural. While we've noticed the building every time we go to Lund, we've never really seen it! Look at the picture closely and tell us what you see and how you see it.
The old restaurant at the end of the boardwalk has reopened as The Boardwalk Restaurant. It was finally purchased by a retired couple from Brisbane, Australia who've only been here for 4 weeks. In that time they completely renovated the place after gutting out the old fixtures, etc. An Australian national TV network filmed the reno in progress for one of their programs called "See the Change", about Aussies moving to other parts of the world to undertake new ventures. We took the time to sample the homemade apple pie and icecream for our coffee break. We almost decided we'd have to walk home to burn off the calories, but cooler heads prevailed.
We did our best taking the pictures. Now, if we only knew some professional photographers we'd invite them to visit to take advantage of the beautiful sights!

Cool photos. I see a door opening into the house/shack, but I am guessing there really is no door, maybe a painting?!!

Canada Day in PR looked familiar...
