Otis and Rascal joined our family on St. Patrick's Day. We adopted the two Shih Tsu brothers from an animal shelter in Bellingham, Washington. Their owner could no longer take care of them. It was stipulated that they couldn't be separated and the rest is history. They are going to need some work, but seem to be settling in pretty well.
Guess what?! It's raining buckets again. A good day to catch up on what we've been doing. In a nutshell, we've had visitors and keeping busy touring around the countryside. First, Jim and Linda were here from Powell River for a week. This was their first time in this area so a trip to Tortilla Flat was in order to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. As you'll see, one of the washes was overflowing the road as a result of the very unusual amount of this winter's rain.
Teetering rock over the bar! Should be "Bar patrons teetering over the rock!"
We also visited Tucson. Because it was raining again we went to the DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun. Ted DeGrazia is a famous Arizona artist who is known for the work he did among the Native Indians in the Tucson part of the State. A lot of his art is based on the religious beliefs of the Natives vis-a-vis Christianity and their ancient beliefs. The Gallery is located on the grounds of DeGrazia's home and is well worth the visit. Did I mention, it also gave us shelter from the rain!

A whole room is dedicated to paintings leading up to Easter & includes each station of The Way of the Cross. Find the Dove sitting on the nest. Oh, oh! There's trouble in river city! A Jewellry store perchance! Handcrafted silver jewellry no less!
To round off our trip to Tucson, we took a quick tour of the Air Museum. However, the hangars aren't heated and it was cold!

Not to be outdone, this desert monster has to have his picture taken.
